The ZEUS, engineered by Pilla in exclusive partnership with ZEISS, delivers and enhanced 180° panoramic visual experience with zero distortion throughout the entire curvature of the mask. This new lens technology incorporates all our proprietary technology into one platform. The best of our Live Anti-Reflective Coatings, Spectral pigment accelerators, ICE Hydrophobics and Oleophobics, with additional Infra-Red light reduction. This basket of tech allows the lens to produce crystal clear optics and turbo charge the filtration performance of the mask. This allows athletes to see the entire court with precise filtration, track the ball in crisp definition, and not only see where your partner is but read opponents’ movements. Its wraparound geometry blocks peripheral light interference to relax the eye maintaining optimal focal ability of the eye. The unique combination of Pilla Zeiss Coating technology eliminates glare and court reflections, creating sharper, fatigue-free visual reference of pickleball court. Interchangeable Temples
The frame uses a new Z hinge attachment that creates a fixed point beyond the eye’s peripheral view. This extends the visual sight picture and allows the panoramic lens to remain the only element in front of your eyes, with no interference from the frame or nosepiece. The ZEUS Z hinge incorporates COPA design to allow the lens to tilt toward or away from the cheek. The Zeus can be fit with three frame tips: the Copa Fork, the Extended Flying V, and the Copa Straight.
Flying V Frame Tips
The Flying V is a frame system from Pilla that adds stability to the entire pair of glasses. The tips are longer than the standard Copa Fork frame to create an enhanced cradling effect behind the ears and head. The tips can be splayed up or down to provide more or less grip, and the top tip can be placed under a hat for added security. The added length also acts as a counterbalance, making the front of the glasses feel lighter on the nose during extended wear.
Temple Attachment
The ZEUS Z frame snaps onto the sides of the lens, making it easy to move the frame between lens filters. The frame can be removed with both hands by cracking the snaps off without putting fingerprints on the lens surface. The frame also incorporates the proprietary COPA hinge to tilt the lens toward or away from the face. The tips are extendable by pulling them out for additional wear options.
Interchangeable Lens
ZEUS blends the best of Pilla ZEISS coating technologies into one platform. LIVE coating science reduces glare on the lens surface, SPA technology uses spectral pigment accelerators for precise color management, ICE coatings help shed water and repel oil for easier cleaning, and IR coatings reduce infrared wavelength exposure to lower felt heat on the back side of the lens.
Panoramic Lens Design
ZEUS provides a minimal lens shape and narrow profile while delivering a completely immersive experience. The panoramic visor design reaches deep into the athlete’s peripheral vision, offering 180 degrees of filtered vision. This allows the athlete to use the lens technology across the full field of view, including the court, partners, and competitors.
Sweat Bar
ZEUS uses a soft rubber sweat bar and two additional bumpers for added protection. There is also an accessory bumper for the Z hinge. When the bumpers are not used, additional venting holes on either side of the center sweat bar promote airflow around the lens surface to help reduce steaming.
Nosepiece
The nosepiece of the ZEUS uses a single saddle mold made of high-performance silicone, providing a comfortable fit while planting the glasses on the face during high levels of athletic activity.
